Prepare yourself this National Dog Day, as Pound Paws hosts a fun dog day celebration at The Golden Sheaf, in Double Bay.

Locals and dog lovers can be treated to a variety of paw-some activities.Pound Paws Dog Day at The Sheaf is an event collaboration between Pound Paws and The Golden Sheaf. The event will take place in The Golden Sheaf’s dog-friendly Beer Garden and will spread out into Kiaora Laneway, a well-known hot spot for dog owners to sip coffee and enjoy the Double Bay lifestyle with their pooches.

This event is run by Pound Paws with a mission to raise awareness about pet adoption to the local community. There will be a variety of Sydney-based dog rescue groups, who will be bringing along adorable dogs available for adoption. 

Dog owners and lovers will be treated to a large pet market stall with a mixture of brands and fun activities to engage your furry friend in. 

That great dog life: yummy food, puparazzi shots on the red carpet and delicious frozen dog treats!

The venue will host over 15 different pet stalls ranging from: free VET HQ vet checks, professional pet photographers, treat tastings and doggie beer, dog massages, puppy crystal healing and much more! 

Attendees can be treated to live entertainment, ranging from live acoustic music, a Rescue Dog Adoption Parade, educational vet chats, dog competitions with amazing prizes.

Being such a dog-friendly pub, we love the concept and are excited to be em-barking on the journey with Pound Paws in a completely new way this year.” explained Luke Rosie, General Manager, Golden Sheaf.
