There will be plenty of tail-wagging activities, with a variety of pawsome pet stalls and dog rescue groups ranging from; Staffy Rescue, Sydney Dogs & Cats Home, Mini's Bulldog Rescue Club and Pug Patrol Rescue Australia.

Whether you're a Bondi Hipster, Yogie or from out of town, all hoo-mans are welcome to join us in for this great Dog Day Out, raising awareness about the importance of choosing to adopt instead of shop.
The Bondi Lifeguards will be showing their support, by judging the Pound Paws Bondi Doggie Lifeguard Challenge, which will involve dogs throwing on a life-saver jersey and completing a series of obstacles!There will also be a competition for ‘Best Bondi Hipster Costume’ for the doggies, owners are allowed to participate in this division too. The judging panel includes Bondi local celebs ranging from; Dr Kate Adams (Bondi Vet), Darren Palmer (The Block Judge), Tayla Damir (Love Island Australia Winner) and Drew Harrisberg to name a few!
“Pound Paws Dog Day events are all about raising awareness about the importance of choosing to adopt instead of shop, in a fun, relaxed manner. We are so appreciative of the local communities support towards rescue animals. We look forward to continuing our mission of raising awareness about pet adoption and educating the local Bondi community about responsible pet ownership” said Brittany Bloomer, Founder of Pound Paws.
Pound Paws is an Australian based charity which provides a modern online approach to the re-homing of pets in Australian pounds and rescue shelters. They operate via an online search engine which allows users to search for their dream pet in pounds and rescue centres across Australia. They also actively assist rescue centres and pounds with PR, Marketing, event organisation and throughout the overall re-homing process.

Attendees can be treated to live entertainment, ranging from educational vet chats, Puppy Pool Party, Dog Yoga, competitions with great prizes, as well as a Rescue Dog Adoption Parade, where dogs available for adoption will strut their stuff on the dog walk
"We are delighted to be involving local dog rescue groups in the Eastern Suburbs and the general Sydney area to help raise awareness about their mission and potentially re-home some of their pets." added Brittany.
