Your Pet can Star in a Calendar that Saves Lives ...
Want to celebrate your pet while saving others? Whether your backyard hero has two, three or four legs; feathers, fur or fins; Lort Smith’s annual calendar competition is now open and calling for entries.
“The loyalty, love and companionship our backyard heroes offer us is immeasurable; and we believe it should be celebrated!” said Lort Smith CEO Fiona Webster.
Lort Smith’s annual fundraising calendar features a selection of Lort Smith adoptees and patients. However, there are also two spots open to all Victorians by way of the Lort Smith Backyard Hero Calendar Competition.
Entrants do not have to be patients or adoptees from Lort Smith; and anyone living in Victoria can enter their pet at lortsmith.com/calendar
The two lucky winners (People's Choice and Panel's Choice) will win a pet photoshoot with Ragamuffin Pet Photography, appear in the 2020 Lort Smith fundraising calendar, and some other prizes.

“Lort Smith’s calendar features all types of animals including dogs, cats, frogs, a chicken, guinea pig, rabbit and even a bearded dragon,” said Ms Webster.
The most rewarding part is knowing proceeds from the sale of each calendar saves animals lives.
“Not only will you give your pet the chance to shine, but you will also help raise awareness of the amazing work Lort Smith does in caring for the animals in our community every day,” added Ms Webster.
All profits from the sale of the calendars go directly to supporting Lort Smith’s important work caring for sick, injured and vulnerable animals.
Calendars will be available for pre-order from August 2019.
Calendar entries are open until 5pm Friday 29 March.
Voting is open Australia-wide until Tuesday 30 April.
